(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – In a blatantly outrageous case of US taxpayers being forced to fund the castration and maiming of American children in service of the transgender cult, the state of Massachusetts has showered a local hospital with nearly $1.5 million for providing “gender transition services” to kids.
Boston Children’s Hospital received $1.4 million from the Massachusetts state government as reimbursement for its “gender transition services” between January 2015 and May 2023, as per records acquired by The Daily Caller through a public records request.
The hospital, recognized for pioneering the first pediatric and adolescent transgender health program in the United States, faced considerable controversy in 2022 over its practice of conducting gender transition surgeries for minors.
These surgeries included “vaginoplasty, phalloplasty, chest reconstruction, and breast augmentation,” as indicated by a previously available but now-removed website.
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) informed The Caller on July 25 that it disbursed over $1.4 million to the hospital for “Gender transition services (i.e., physician’s services, inpatient and outpatient, hospital services, surgical services, prescribed drugs, therapies, etc.)” from January 1, 2015, to May 1, 2023.
The hospital conducted 204 “gender affirmation” surgeries between 2017 and 2020, as reported in the Journal of Clinical Medicine. Of these, 177 were chest reconstructions, with 65 performed on patients under 18.
The hospital’s “Center for Gender Surgery” website, now unavailable, featured numerous videos addressing topics like gender dysphoria, transgender sex, “top” and “bottom” surgery, and guidelines on discussing these issues with friends and family, as seen in an archived version.
The website emphasized that “surgery is never the first step in a gender transition” and recommended starting with social transitioning and “supplemental hormones.”
According to the site, patients as young as 15 could undergo breast or chest augmentation with parental consent and a letter from a healthcare provider confirming “persistent, well-documented, gender dysphoria.”
For 17-year-olds, Boston Children’s offered vaginoplasty without parental consent but restricted phalloplasty or metoidioplasty (penis construction surgeries) to those 18 and above.
The Caller points out that the hospital did not reply to inquiries about whether taxpayer funds were utilized for transgender surgeries for minors. The public records response did not clarify the exact nature of the “gender transition services” for which the state reimbursed the hospital.
