“This action is the culmination of the Biden-Harris Administration’s targeted approach, in concert with our allies and partners, to impair the [People’s Republic of China’s] ability to indigenize the production of advanced technologies that pose a risk to our national security,” U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo said.
While the Biden administration claimed to be taking action, their approach has clearly failed to protect American interests.
Their policies have left the country more vulnerable to Chinese manipulation instead of reinforcing domestic capabilities.
Meanwhile, the consequences of this ban are already being felt as these specific metal prices have surged over 200%, with predictions of further increases.
