Another Founding Father Banished

Thomas Jefferson Statue - City Hall, New York City

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – It’s happened again. And this time, it’s been done to the principal author of the Declaration of Independence, who was the third President of the United States (1801–1809) and one of the best known Founding Fathers of the United States of America.

Thomas Jefferson has been banished.

Specifically, the statue of Thomas Jefferson that has resided in the City Hall of New York City for almost 200 years has been removed because Thomas Jefferson – the primary author of the Declaration of Independence that birthed the United States of America – is no longer politically correct enough for the liberals, socialists, and communists who dominate the top echelons of New York City’s government.

As the New York Post reported, “Art handlers packed up an 884-pound statue of Jefferson in a wooden crate Monday after a mayoral commission voted to banish the likeness of the nation’s third president from City Hall, where it’s resided for nearly two centuries — because he owned slaves.”

What do you think? What is your opinion? Does it make sense to you that Thomas Jefferson – the principal author of the Declaration of Independence who was the third President of the United States (1801–1809) and one of the best known Founding Fathers of the United States of America – has been removed from City Hall in New York City because he owned slaves? Is it remotely fair to judge Jefferson or any of the leading men and women who created the United States over 200 years ago by the morals of today? Share your thoughts by emailing [email protected].
