(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – In what is seemingly another move to shield Hunter Biden from responsibility and criminal charges, the Secret Service has announced it has failed to find a suspect in the discovery of cocaine in the White House and has closed the investigation.
The cocaine was discovered in the West Wing on the evening of July 2, leading to a temporary evacuation while President Joe Biden and his family, including the first son, were at Camp David.
Conservative pundits have quickly linked the illegal narcotic find with Hunter Biden’s known drug addiction.
The Secret Service issued a statement on Thursday declaring it was “not able” to “single out a person of interest” in the White House cocaine case because of the lack of physical evidence.
“[The drug was found] inside a receptacle used to temporarily store electronic and personal devices prior to entering the West Wing,” the statement informed, as cited by The National Review.
It added its investigators compiled “a pool of known persons for comparison of forensic evidence gleaned from the FBI’s analysis of the substance’s packaging.”
However, lab results showed “insufficient DNA” was present for investigative comparisons, and there was no relevant surveillance footage, The Secret Service said.
“Without physical evidence, the investigation will not be able to single out a person of interest from the hundreds of individuals who passed through the vestibule where the cocaine was discovered,” it concluded.
US House Oversight Committee members were briefed on the Secret Service’s findings, or lack thereof, an hour before the statement.
US Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) stormed out of the briefing, slamming the Secret Service’s conclusion as “bogus” and the investigation as a “complete failure.”
“They know who goes in the White House. They have facial identification, they have — y’all know you can’t go in there without giving your Social Security number anyway, and to say that it’s just some weekend visitor, that’s bogus,” Burchett said.
“Nobody’s buying that at all,” he added, as The New York Post cited.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) called the probe a “farce.”
“You can’t tell me in the White House, with 24/7 surveillance in a cubby hole by a Situation Room that they don’t know who delivered it there… In America today, anything involving Biden Inc. gets treated differently than anything else,” he said.
