He succumbed to his long battle with health challenges at the tender age of 66, leaving behind a legacy filled with laughter and resilience.

As we celebrate his life, we remember the man who, despite adversity, continued to inspire with his humor and courage.

Duncan Norvelle made his mark on British television in the 1980s, capturing the hearts of millions with his camp humor.

He soared to fame with his iconic appearances on the ITV variety show Saturday Royal.

His career, however, took an arduous turn in 2012 when a severe stroke left him paralyzed on one side of his body.

This tragic event underscored the importance of monitoring health, especially blood pressure, which doctors indicated played a significant role in his health crisis.

The stroke not only altered his life but postponed many of his plans.

Norvelle had to cancel his summer performances with Cannon and Ball due to health constraints.

He spent 18 months in the hospital, striving to reclaim lost speech and mobility, while his family and friends rallied behind him.

A benefit show was even held at Blackpool Grand Theatre, featuring various stars, wristbands with “Chase Me” were sold to assist his recovery.

He returned to the stage in 2015 at the Embassy Theatre, Skegness, with proceeds benefiting the Stroke Association.

Despite a challenging recovery, he didn’t let his spirit falter, inspiring others by advocating for health awareness, “He urged people to monitor their blood pressure and recognize stroke symptoms,” writes The Daily Mail.

Norvelle’s career extended beyond comedy; he also appeared on the ITV comedy panel game show Through the Keyhole in 1991 and toured with the Ricky Tomlinson Laughter Show in 2008.

His versatility in the entertainment industry was truly commendable.

Known for his vibrant stage presence and charismatic personality, Duncan had an indelible influence on his audiences.

His last television appearance was on the Come Dine With Me Comedy Christmas Special, a testament to his enduring popularity.

His legacy continues through his children, Jack, Sophie, and Yasmin, as well as his long-time partner, Linda Trevallion, who stood by his side through thick and thin.
