Biden Comes After GOP In Shocking Way

President Joe Biden

( – Responding to a question about the leaked draft opinion indicating that the Supreme Court would strike down Roe v. Wade, President Joe Biden said the controversy is “about a lot more than abortion” while slamming Republicans. He also warned that the “MAGA crowd” is “the most extreme political organization that’s existed in recent American history.”

Biden indicated that Roe was part of the right to privacy, saying the case “is about a lot more than abortion.”

He then brought up the confirmation process for Robert Bork, former President Reagan’s nominee in the late 1980s, while he was chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

He noted that “Bork believed the only reason you had any inherent rights was because the government gave them to you,” but, according to Biden, at the time, he argued: “I believe I have the rights that I have not just because the government gave them to me, which you believe, but because I’m just a child of God — I exist.”

He went on to question the legitimacy of the way the decision striking down Roe v. Wade is written, saying: “Now, what happens if you have states changing the law, saying that… children who are LGBT, who can’t be in classrooms with other children, is that… legit under the way that the decision is written?”

“What are the next things that are going to be attacked?” Biden asked before arguing that Republicans, which he called the “MAGA crowd,” are “the most extreme political organization that’s existed in American history — in recent American history.”

This is not the first time Biden’s referred to the GOP by the MAGA name. Last month, Biden said the GOP “ain’t your father’s Republican Party,” stating that the party had shifted to a “MAGA party.”
