(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Joe Biden was blasted as a “disgrace” after deciding to mark the 22nd year since the 9/11 terrorist attacks with a visit to Alaska instead of the World Trade Center or any other site that was attacked.
On Monday, Biden gave a speech on the grim anniversary at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson of the US military in Anchorage, Alaska.
He stopped there on his way back from a trip in Asia, where he attended the G-20 summit in India, and before also visiting Vietnam.
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy reported that when he asked the president’s team why Biden was skipping the 9/11 attack sites, an official replied with a comparison to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

“Our focus here the last couple of days has been on President Biden here in South Asia, and when I asked a White House official why it is that President Biden was here and missing the 9/11 commemorations at the attack sites, the analogy that I was given is that ’22 years after Pearl Harbor, US Presidents were not still going to visit Hawaii,’” Doocy revealed.
In a 77WABC interview earlier this month, when it became clear that Biden wouldn’t be in NYC or Washington, DC, on the 22nd anniversary of 9/11, former New York Governor George Pataki said the president’s decision was a disgrace.
“The fact that he is not doing anything to commemorate that horrible day is a disgrace,” the 77-year-old former GOP governor said.
Instead of the president, Ground Zero in New York City was visited Monday by his vice president, Kamala Harris, while her husband, Doug Emhoff, went to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, the crash site of one of the four hijacked passenger jets. First Lady Jill Biden visited the Pentagon.
“I join you on this solemn day to renew our sacred vow: never forget!” Biden declared in his 9/11 anniversary speech in Alaska.
“Never forget. We’ll never forget. Each of us, each of those precious lives stolen too soon when evil attacked. Ground Zero New York, I remember standing there the next day and looking at the building. It felt like I was looking through the gates of hell. It looked so devastating… from where you could stand,” he said.
“Shanksville, Pennsylvania, the Pentagon in Virginia, I spent many 9/11s in those hollowed grounds to bear witness and remember those we lost,” the president added.
