Biden Thinks High Gasoline Prices Are Good

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki

( – When White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki enters the briefing room – formally called the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room in honor of former President Ronald Reagan’s press secretary James Brady who was gravely injured when John Hinckley attempted to assassinate Reagan – she, like all press secretaries, is speaking on behalf of the president and, therefore, her words are considered by the press to be President Joe Biden’s words.

That is why energy policy experts, along with consumers who are paying record-high prices for gasoline at their local gas station, took note when Psaki claimed that there’s an upside to high gas prices.

That upside? The need to accelerate the development of renewable “clean” energy sources.

Essentially, Psaki says that Biden, like other vocal “environmentalists,” believes high gas prices are good.

During a recent press briefing for White House reporters, Psaki stated, “Our view is that the rise in gas prices over the long term makes an even stronger case for doubling down our investment and our focus on clean energy options so we are not relying on the fluctuations and OPEC and their willingness to put more supply and meet the demand in the market.” [emphasis added by editor]

As the Daily Caller recently reported, “The average cost at the pump reached $3.42 per gallon Friday, up nearly 61% compared to a year ago, a AAA database showed.” [emphasis added by editor]

What do you think? In your opinion, are high gasoline prices good or bad?
