(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Earlier today, in a reaction many Americans found inappropriate given the historically high price of gasoline, U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm laughed hysterically when asked by a Bloomberg Television show host what she would do to increase drilling for oil in the United States to help reduce the price of gasoline Americans are paying at the pump.
When Granholm stopped laughing, she indicated that she has no plan and that Americans are at the mercy of OPEC – the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries – a cartel of countries often viewed as hostile to the interests of the United States of America.
Granholm stated, while still giggling, “That is hilarious…oil is a global market. It is controlled by a cartel. The cartel is called OPEC. And, they made a decision yesterday that they were not going to increase beyond what they were already planning.”
So, based on Granholm’s response, it appears the administration of President Joe Biden is leaving American consumers at the mercy and whim of OPEC when it comes to the price of gasoline.
Please watch the video of Granholm contained within the tweet below and then consider the questions further down the page.
