Biden’s Mental Decline Shocks Aides, Officials

Joe Biden

( – In a shocking revelation of Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities, a recent troubling report highlights concerns about Biden’s mental decline from firsthand accounts of over 45 lawmakers and staffers from both parties.

Many noticed that 81-year-old Biden often speaks so softly in meetings that it becomes difficult for attendees to hear him, while his knowledge of policy details appears inconsistent.

One attendee from a January meeting about Ukraine aid funding expressed discomfort: “You couldn’t be there and not feel uncomfortable. I’ll just say that.”

Participants in these meetings observed that it sometimes took Biden about 10 minutes to begin discussions and often relied on note cards for simple points that were already well understood by everyone present.

According to the report, much of the dialogue in these gatherings did not involve him directly, as Biden asked aides to respond to questions aimed at him.

During a February discussion with House Speaker Mike Johnson, Biden seemed unaware of an active policy on liquid natural gas exports. He mistakenly referred to it as “only a study,” which reportedly “dismayed” Johnson.

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) noted that Biden’s ability to lead discussions varied.

He described instances from debt ceiling negotiations last May where Biden would “ramble” and was overly dependent on notes. “He always had cards,” McCarthy said. “He couldn’t negotiate another way.”

McCarthy also reflected on how different Biden seemed from his vice-presidential days, saying, “I used to meet with him when he was vice president. I’d go to his house. He’s not the same person.”

In later stages of these talks, McCarthy found Biden’s references to past practices frustrating, as they seemed outdated and forgotten.

“He was going back to all the old stuff that had been done for a long time,” McCarthy shared and indicated Biden was surprised when reminded that certain topics had already been concluded.

The gravity of these accounts led a senior GOP aide to wonder if these are the reasons why the Justice Department has withheld recordings of Biden’s interviews regarding the classified documents investigation.

As the oldest president in U.S. history, Biden’s age and mental capacity remain a major discussion point, especially since he could serve until the age of 86 if re-elected for a second term.
