(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – BREAKING NOW: Just moments ago, during a congressional hearing, United States Attorney General Merrick Garland stated that “there will not be interference” in the Department of Justice’s investigation of Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden.
According to Garland, there will “not be interference of any political or improper kind” imposed on the Justice Department’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s business dealings.
During a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing, United States Senator Bill Hagerty, a Republican from Tennessee, asked the attorney general questions about the investigation into President Biden’s son and whether Garland had been briefed.
Garland responded that David Weiss, the U.S. Attorney located in Wilmington, Delaware, who former President Donald Trump appointed, is handling the investigation of Hunter Biden.
Hagerty was skeptical of Garland’s response.
“I’m aware of that, but he reports to you,” Hagerty said.
“He is supervising the investigation, and I’m not at liberty to talk about internal Justice Department deliberations, but he is in charge of that investigation,” Garland said. “There will not be interference of any political or improper kind.”
Garland did not provide any timeline as to when he believed the investigation of the president’s son might be complete.
