BREAKING: Dozens Killed and Injured in Mass Shooting

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – BREAKING NOW: In the early morning hours today, a community celebration in Baltimore was shattered by a wave of gunfire. Baltimore City Police report that two people tragically died, and 28 others suffered injuries. Currently, the authorities are still actively searching for the person responsible.

The two individuals who died were young adults—a woman of 18 years and a man of 20.

According to the police, the injured victims cover a broad spectrum of ages, and their conditions vary significantly. Three of the victims are currently fighting for their lives in critical condition.

Acting Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley described the crime scene as “extensive.” He said law enforcement from other areas were collaborating with them in an attempt to understand the shooter’s motive.

Worley shared that the police had received multiple reports of a shooting incident at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Gretna Court. Arriving at the scene, the officers found numerous gunshot victims.

The police have estimated that there are 30 victims of the shooting. Nine victims were rushed from the scene to nearby hospitals, while 20 others made their own way to nearby hospitals.

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott expressed deep sorrow for the lost lives and the injured individuals. He labeled the shooting as “reckless” and “cowardly.”

Scott expressed his determination to find those responsible. He said, “I want those who are responsible to hear me and hear me very clearly. We will not stop until we find you, and we will find you. Until then, I hope with every single breath that you take that you think about the lives that you took, and you think about the lives that you impacted here tonight.”

According to a witness, hundreds of people had congregated in the area for a community event known as “Brooklyn Day.” This individual told FOX45 News that they had heard between 20 to 30 gunshots, which seemed endless.

Some of the injured victims were brought to Harbor Hospital. The vast crime scene stretches over multiple city blocks and is currently strewn with debris.

Mayor Scott called upon the public to provide any information regarding the incident. He appealed to their empathy, asking them to put themselves in the victims’ shoes.

“We will not stop until we find those cowards who decided to just shoot dozens of people, causing two people to lose their lives, and we’re going to be here until we find them,” he vowed.

Scott announced that every city agency in Baltimore would assist in Brooklyn.

Homicide detectives were dispatched to the scene and have taken over the ongoing investigation.
