BREAKING: Dozens Shot; 6 Fatally

( – HAPPENING NOW: Over this past weekend, a shocking wave of violence swept Chicago, with at least 27 people shot, and six of them fatally, according to police reports.

Just a tiny, partial list of the horrific violence that has occurred includes the following.

Early Sunday, a 29-year-old man was found critically injured with a headshot wound in a vehicle that had rolled over. He was located in the Little Village neighborhood and was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, but sadly, he did not survive. His identity is unknown, and no suspects are in custody.

Saturday saw a significant amount of violence. Five men were shot in the North Lawndale neighborhood, leading to one fatality. Another victim, shot in the head and neck, was critically injured, while the remaining three are in good health. Authorities are still investigating, and no arrests have been made.

In the Chicago Lawn area, a 49-year-old man was killed following a dispute. The gunman remains unidentified. Another fatal shooting occurred in Auburn Gresham, where a gathering turned deadly, with one man killed and another seriously injured.

On the city’s Northwest Side, a 64-year-old man was critically wounded following an argument. He is hospitalized, and police are investigating the incident with a person of interest.

Three people were shot on Chicago’s South Side while standing on a sidewalk. The victims, including a male suspect and two women in their 30s, are recovering.

Tragedy also struck the Auburn Gresham neighborhood when a 16-year-old male was killed Friday evening. In the Loop area, a man succumbed to his injuries after being shot and running into a nearby hotel lobby.

Lastly, a 13-year-old boy was lightly injured by a bullet while cycling in South Shore. He is recovering well at Comer Children’s Hospital. No arrests have been made in these cases as investigations continue.
