(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – BREAKING NOW: Former President Donald J. Trump has been formally notified he is a prosecution “target” for his actions leading up to and including the protest at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Based on several news sources, it is known that Trump shared that he’s been informed that he is under investigation by the Justice Department for efforts to reverse the 2020 election outcome.
Trump revealed this news on his social media platform, Truth Social, stating he got this information on Sunday night. A target letter, which he received, is often a warning before a formal accusation, known as an indictment. He had previously received such a letter before being charged last month concerning another issue about mishandling classified information.
A spokesperson for special counsel Jack Smith, who is in charge of the current investigation, decided not to comment.
The Justice Department is investigating a wide range of activities concerning Trump and his supporters trying to stop the presidency from being handed over to Democrat Joe Biden.
Trump, who presently leads early polls for the Republican nomination, plans to visit Iowa on Tuesday. He will participate in a public question-and-answer session with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
In Georgia, there’s a different investigation about Trump’s efforts to overturn election results. The lead prosecutor in Fulton County indicated that decisions about potential charges could be announced in the coming weeks.
In his social media post, Trump stated, “they have now effectively indicted me three times…. with a probably fourth coming from Atlanta.” He further claimed, “This witch hunt is all about election interference and a complete and total (political) weaponization of law enforcement!” He wrote these words in uppercase letters to emphasize his point.
