Delivering a decisive win for gun rights after years of relentless Democrat attacks, the Department of Justice launched a Second Amendment Task Force.
Specifically, Attorney General Pamela Bondi boldly declared war on anti-gun policies.
She immediately axed the Biden administration’s “zero tolerance” policy that punished law-abiding gun dealers for minor paperwork errors.
Gun owners nationwide are celebrating this development as it marks the beginning of the end for unconstitutional gun grabs.
The DOJ’s Second Amendment Task Force represents a dramatic shift in federal policy.
It will bring together officials from across the department, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and FBI.
The task force will develop and implement strategies specifically designed to protect Americans’ constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
Bondi made no apologies for prioritizing gun rights, declaring, “For too long, the Second Amendment, which establishes the fundamental individual right of Americans to keep and bear arms, has been treated as a second-class right. No more.”
The task force’s first action was repealing the Biden administration’s Enhanced Regulatory Enforcement Policy—commonly called the “zero tolerance” policy.
This heavy-handed approach allowed the ATF to revoke federal firearms licenses for minor paperwork errors, destroying small businesses and limiting Americans’ access to firearms.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the policy shift: “Today’s repeal of the Zero Tolerance Policy and the comprehensive review of stabilizing brace regulations and the definition of ‘engaged in the business’ marks a pivotal step toward restoring fairness and clarity in firearms regulation.”
The task force will also tackle two other controversial Biden-era gun regulations.
The “stabilizing brace rule” arbitrarily reclassified many pistols with stabilizing braces as short-barreled rifles, requiring registration under the National Firearms Act.
This instantly transformed millions of law-abiding gun owners into potential felons overnight.
Additionally, the Biden administration expanded the definition of who is “engaged in the business” of selling firearms.
The move targeted private sellers and hobbyists who occasionally sold guns from their personal collections.
Unlike previous administrations that consulted almost exclusively with anti-gun groups, this DOJ has pledged to collaborate with gun rights organizations, manufacturers, and legal experts to ensure all policies respect Americans’ constitutional rights.
The initiative directly implements President Trump’s Executive Order 14206, which mandated a review of Biden-era firearms regulations.
Gun rights groups nationwide have praised the administration’s quick action.
Meanwhile, anti-gun organizations are panicking, realizing their regulatory power grab through unelected bureaucrats is coming to an end.
The comprehensive review process is expected to include public input over several months.
Bondi will personally chair the task force, with the Associate Attorney General serving as Vice Chair.
For millions of American gun owners who felt targeted and threatened by the previous administration, this task force signals that their government is finally working to protect rather than undermine their freedoms.
