California BILL Prioritizes Descendants of SLAVES?!

California and American flags waving in the wind.

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – California’s latest legislative proposal threatens to turn university admissions into a race-based affirmative action program as assemblymember Isaac Bryan plans to introduce a bill that prioritizes admissions for descendants of slaves at public universities.

This move blatantly discriminates against hardworking students based on ancestry and undermines the concept of merit-based education.

The bill aims to give preferential treatment in admissions to descendants of slaves at institutions like the University of California and California State University.

This radical agenda comes as a direct response to the conservative movement’s success in dismantling discriminatory diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs following the Supreme Court’s decision to end affirmative action.

Bryan’s ordinance aligns with California’s controversial Black Reparations task force recommendations, signaling a broader push for race-based policies across the state.

This initiative represents a clear overreach of government power, attempting to address historical injustices by creating new forms of discrimination against today’s students.

The timing of this proposal is particularly concerning, as it appears to be a preemptive strike against potential actions by the incoming Trump administration.

Moreover, the assemblymember’s act seems designed to entrench DEI policies in California’s education system before federal efforts can root out these divisive programs.

“For decades universities gave preferential admission treatment to donors, and their family members, while others tied to legacies of harm were ignored and at times outright excluded,” Bryan stated.

This revealed the flawed logic behind this proposal. Instead of addressing any unfairness in legacy admissions, this bill seeks to create a new form of preferential treatment based on racial ancestry.

The push for this measure comes from several states having wisely passed laws restricting DEI initiatives in higher education.

These states recognize the divisive and discriminatory nature of such programs. California, however, seems intent on doubling down on race-based policies that only serve to divide students further and undermine the quality of education.

President-elect Trump has rightly criticized these DEI policies and plans to challenge them if re-elected.

His administration would cut funding for schools that continue to implement such discriminatory practices. This strong stance is necessary to protect the rights of all students and ensure fair, merit-based admissions processes.

Bryan added, “There is a growing understanding of California’s role in perpetuating the inequalities that arose from slavery, and there’s a willingness to try to rectify that harm, to heal that harm.”

Bryan’s misguided attempt to “heal harm” by creating new forms of discrimination is a dangerous path.

This bill would unfairly advantage certain students based on their ancestry, regardless of their individual circumstances or qualifications.

If passed, this bill would set a dangerous precedent for discrimination in public institutions.

In this case, citizens must speak out against this divisive proposal and demand fair, merit-based admissions processes that give every student an equal opportunity to succeed based on their own hard work and abilities.
