(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – It may only be the year 2021, but it appears one prominent Republican is already signaling he will seek the Republican presidential nomination for the 2024 Presidential Election. And, he is willing to mock and taunt the last Republican president.
In an interview with “Axios on HBO,” former New Jersey Governor and failed 2016 GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie mocked and taunted former President Donald J. Trump. While many political observers and Trump supporters expect Trump to run for the presidency again in 2024, Christie made it clear that he is, as Axios put it, “lacing up for a possible presidential run in 2024.”
While hinting strongly that he is prepared to throw his hat in the ring again, although he barely registered a blip in the 2016 GOP presidential primaries, Christie took several swipes at Trump when he learned Trump had slammed him for remarks he’d made at a recent Republican Jewish Coalition meeting in Nevada.
Specifically, in response to Trump pointing out that Christie had only a 9 percent approval rating when he left office in New Jersey, Christie said, “When I ran for reelection in 2013, I got 60% of the vote. When he ran for reelection, he lost to Joe Biden.”
