(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – In what may be the first official announcement by a congressional Democrat, United States Representative Dean Phillips, a Minnesota Democrat, said during an interview that President Joe Biden will not receive his support if Biden runs for the presidency again in 2024.
According to The Hill:
“Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) announced on Thursday that he will not support President Biden should he run for reelection in 2024, arguing that the country would be ‘well-served by a new generation’ of Democrats.
“Asked during an interview with WCCO-AM if he would support Biden in a reelection campaign the next cycle, Phillips, the two-term congressman considered to be a moderate, responded ‘no.'” [emphasis added]
In further elaboration:
“‘I think the country would be well-served by a new generation of compelling, well-prepared, dynamic Democrats who step up,” Phillips added.
“The Minnesota Democrat said that while he”‘has respec”‘ for the president and what he has accomplished in his first term, he ultimately believes”it’ss time for a generational change”‘”
“‘And I think most of my colleagues agree with that,’ Phillips added.” [emphasis added]
As the United States heads into the midterm elections this November, it is certain that all Democrats running for the House and Senate will be questioned about their support — or lack thereof — for Biden.
Will more answer the same way as Phillips?
The country will soon know.
