DeSantis Has THIS Message for Democrats

Ron DeSantis

( – Florida’s Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis, promised to stop the far-left ideology from infusing its woke agenda into “all arteries of society” in the United States.

In a Fox News interview, DeSantis, an all but certain 2024 GOP presidential hopeful, declared, “there’s a new sheriff in town,” as he attributed Florida’s prosperity to his resistance to woke policies and Marxism.

The Republican governor’s comments came days after he signed a second law to end Disney’s self-governing status in the Randy Creek Improvement District, the home of Disney World.

DeSantis’s administration took the measures after the entertainment company had publicly attacked its Parental Rights in Education Act, which banned teaching gender ideology in K-3 education.

“I think we have to recognize the left is trying to impose its agenda through all of our arteries in society, including corporate America,” DeSantis said on “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“Part of my job to protect the freedoms of my citizens is to ensure that the left is not able to impose their agenda on them through corporate America, through bureaucracy, through universities,” he added.

“The fight with Disney was really about who governs the state of Florida,” he continued. “I think they thought for 60 years they called the shots. Well, there’s a new sheriff in town, and we call the shots, and we made that very clear,” DeSantis declared.

The law he signed last month, HB 9B, killed Disney’s exemptions from the state’s building code, fire prevention code, and regulatory reviews.

However, the governor argued that his state’s success was mainly due to anti-crime policies to attract investors.

In 2022, Florida’s population grew by 1.9%, reaching 22.2 million. It thus became the state with the highest relative population increasing for the first time since 1957.

“Yes, we have lower taxes, yes, we’re a law and order state, and you see disorder around the country, but the dramatic difference in approach between a New York and an Illinois or California and Florida, we really just started getting more wealth, more investment and the state really took off,” commented DeSantis.

He was recently on a pro-police tour in Democrat-run cities – New York City, Philadelphia, and Chicago.

“My view when we say we’re the free state of Florida, yes, we want to prevent you from being overtaxed, and we don’t have an income tax, make sure you don’t have to deal with these ridiculous COVID restrictions, which Biden is still clinging to, trying to keep Novak Djokovic out of the country, so that’s important,” he elaborated.

On Friday, DeSantis visited Iowa, leading to reports that he had told his close aides he would run for president in 2024.

“My job as a leader is to put the interests of the people I represent and their jobs over my own interests in keeping my own job. And so if there’s short-term political pain and ultimately, if it doesn’t work out for me politically, that’s fine, but you had to do the right thing. I think the fact that we did that was part of the reason why we boom so much,” Florida’s governor stated.
