(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Florida’s GOP Governor, Ron DeSantis, turned to scripture to inspire American conservatives and the Republican Party to “put on the full armor of God” in the fight against the radical left during a recent speech.
DeSantis spoke at the annual Sunshine Summit Victory dinner, whose 2022 edition took place Saturday night in Hollywood, Florida.
“If you’re running for the legislature, if you’re just a concerned citizen going to a school board meeting, you’re going to a public meeting, standing up and speaking the truth and standing for the right things at this moment in time is not cost-free,” DeSantis declared, as cited by Breitbart News.
He added that any American who dares to do just that would face powerful opposition. As an example of that, Florida Governor recalled how the leftist mainstream media and the left kept attacking him and his administration during the COVID-19 pandemic.
DeSantis warned patriotic and conservative Americans that the pushback in today’s America against those who stand for what is right is severe.
“When you’re in this situation, and you have all these different forces that are basically trying to muddy the waters, they’re trying to create a blizzard of lies to blind all of us from what’s actually going on. When you’re willing, in that environment, to just stand up and speak the truth, they’re gonna hit you, they’re gonna hit you, and they’re gonna hit you,” the Republican stated.
Regardless of such dangers, he urged conservatives not just to be content with being “right” but to act to defend what is right.
Then he quoted Ephesians 6 in the Bible as advice for all those Americans who have and will take up that fight against “cancel culture, the woke mob, corrupt establishment media, and the Brandon administration.”
“You gotta be ready for battle. So put on the full armor of God!” DeSantis urged.
“Take a stand against the left’s schemes. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist. You will face fire from flaming arrows, but the shield of faith will protect you,” he added.
“We’re just getting warmed up. I’ve only begun to fight. I’m standing my ground, walking the line all the way through the finish line, and I can tell you this. With your help and everybody behind us, there is no doubt in my mind that come November, we are going to keep the state of Florida free,” the GOP Governor concluded.
