Doctor to the Stars Gunned Down

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Leaving authorities puzzled about the motive behind the attack, a well-known California doctor was shot and killed in a shocking ambush outside his Los Angeles clinic.

Hamid Mirshojae was gunned down in the parking lot of Woodland Hills Medical Clinic and Urgent Care just after 5:30 p.m., as he was walking toward his car—an hour after closing his office.

The Los Angeles Police Department arrived 42 minutes later and found the 61-year-old doctor next to his white SUV, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Mirshojae, a primary care and emergency care physician, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a local outlet reported that several bullet casings were found nearby.

The unidentified suspect fled the scene on foot. Police believe there was only one gunman involved but have yet to release any description or motive for the deadly shooting.

According to his work biography, Mirshojae’s patients included “celebrities, movie stars, athletes and many people of different walks of life. ”

Moreover, he graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, was board-eligible in addiction medicine, and had over ten years of experience in addictionology.

“He’s been full of love. He’s been full of care,” said former patient Khedhar Quintero. “He doesn’t care that you’re just another number in his lobby, he cares about your future as well.”

At the time of the shooting, Mirshojae’s wife and their 6-month-old daughter were visiting family in Turkey.

Mirshojae also leaves behind three adult children from a previous marriage. His ex-wife, Ahang Zarin Kelk, paid tribute to him in a Facebook post, sharing details of his memorial service.

Kelk wrote, “He was always helping people seeing tens and thousands of patients for decades we fought HARD to make life happen starting from nothing in the apartment and still the world is so cold.”

Months before his death, Mirshojae had been attacked by three men armed with baseball bats, leaving him in fear for his life.

“They came and they beat him with baseball bats,” an employee told the Los Angeles Times. “They were some strangers that we didn’t know.”

Though police have not disclosed a motive for that earlier beating, detectives are still determining if it was connected to the fatal shooting.
