(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Former White House physician and current GOP US Rep. Ronny Jackson has demanded that President Joe Biden be subjected to a cognitive test or quit the 2024 presidential race.
On Tuesday, 80-year-old Biden officially launched his 2024 presidential campaign. However, the announcement didn’t include a live speech at a mass rally but a three-minute campaign video.
Jackson, who was the White House doctor for both Democrat President Barack Obama and Republican President Donald Trump, has repeatedly expressed doubts as to whether Joe Biden is mentally and cognitively fit for the presidential office.
The current Texas US representative has once again voiced his concerns regarding the president in a letter circulated among House Republicans, obtained by The New York Post. After it garners support, the request will be sent directly to Biden.
“We call on you to either resign immediately and renounce your bid for reelection or submit to a clinically validated cognitive screening assessment and make those results available to the public,” states the letter.
In it, Jackson argues that Biden is supposed to take a cognitive test because of his advanced age, frequent public gaffes, and recent public opinion polls showing Americans worry his mental function may have deteriorated.
“When you first announced your bid to run in the 2020 presidential election, questions and concerns were raised surrounding your cognitive abilities. Those concerns have only increased because your mental decline and forgetfulness have become more apparent since you were elected,” the former White House physician points out.
“Over the past two years, public appearances where you shuffle your feet, trip when you walk, slur your words, forget names, lose your train of thought, and appear momentarily confused have become more of a common occurrence,” the letter elaborates.
“These incidences are so common and noticeable that if you search “Biden gaffes” online, over 14,000,000 results appear,” it emphasizes.
Jackson declares further that the “American people deserve complete transparency on the mental capabilities of their highest elected leader.”
The Texas Republican has previously written similar letters to push Biden to take a cognitive test – once back in June 2021 and again in February 2022.
In the new letter, Jackson calls out Biden for not responding to the preceding letters.
Earlier this year, Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, performed the president’s annual physical exam and gave him a clean health bill.
However, O’Connor didn’t answer questions about the president’s mental acuity.
