(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Doing the opposite of helping to prove or dispel the nation’s corruption suspicions against Joe Biden and his family, FBI chief Christopher Wray has remarkably failed to commit to helping Congress members scrutinize the agency’s probe of the Bidens’ murky foreign business dealings.
During a hearing at the Senate Homeland Security Committee on Tuesday, FBI Director Wray was questioned by Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) about a letter from Grassley dated October 24.
This letter highlighted the involvement of over 40 confidential human sources who allegedly supplied “criminal information” concerning Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and James Biden, The Daily Caller reports.
“I’m assuming you’ve seen and read the letter Senator Grassley wrote to you and Attorney General Garland on October 24th,” Johnson told Wray.
The senator then cited his colleague’s letter to the FBI and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, as follows,
“The FBI maintained over 40 confidential human sources that provided criminal information related to Joe Biden, James Biden and Hunter Biden. An essential question that must be answered in this: did the FBI investigate the information or shut it down?”
Johnson added that Grassley’s letter accused the FBI of discrediting its own confidential sources by erroneously categorizing their intelligence as foreign disinformation. He cited further:
“There appears to be an effort within the Justice Department and FBI to shut down investigative activity relating to the Biden family. Such decisions point to significant political bias infecting the decision-making of not only the Attorney General and FBI director but also line agents and prosecutors. Our Republic cannot survive such a political infection, and you have an obligation to this country to clear the air.”
The GOP senator also brought attention to a column from The Wall Street Journal regarding Grassley’s letter and highlighted testimony from former U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania Scott Brady.
Brady’s testimony exposed the FBI’s apparent reluctance to advance investigations linked to Hunter Biden’s business interactions with Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings.
Additionally, Brady confirmed the reliability of a confidential source who claimed that Burisma’s founder, Mykola Zlochevsky, had boasted about bribing Joe and Hunter Biden with $5 million each.
“Senator Grassley’s letter concludes that he has obtained names from his whistleblower, 25 Department of Justice, FBI personnel to interview at a future date. He is also requesting a bunch of information. Will you provide those FBI personnel for interviews with his office and mine and will you provide those documents?” Johnson asked.
“I’ll have to review the specific requests and we’ll see how we can be helpful,” the FBI director responded.
Johnson reacted by offering to provide Wray with a copy of Grassley’s letter after the meeting.
