(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Less than one day after saying the Biden administration would not provide Ukraine with advanced, long-range missile systems, missiles that can reach potential targets inside Russia, President Joe Biden flip-flopped and announced that his administration would supply those systems to Ukraine.
As the New York Post reports in “Biden reverses course, says US will send rockets to Ukraine”:
“President Biden announced in an op-ed Tuesday that his administration will send advanced missile systems to Ukraine — reversing course from a day earlier when he said the US would not deliver the rockets to the war-torn country.”
In the op-ed, Biden writes, “I’ve decided that we will provide the Ukrainians with more advanced rocket systems and munitions that will enable them to more precisely strike key targets on the battlefield in Ukraine.”
As to the ability of Ukraine to use the advanced systems to strike targets inside Russia, the Post notes, “US officials had previously expressed concern about whether Russia would see the US’ weapons delivery as a step too far in the West’s involvement.”
Biden writes, “We are not encouraging or enabling Ukraine to strike beyond its borders. We do not want to prolong the war just to inflict pain on Russia.”
As one critic noted, this is not the first time Biden has done a 180-degree turn on his strategy regarding the war between Russia and Ukraine.
