(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – The administration of a high school in Pennsylvania has approved plans by the Satanic Temple (TST), a far-left, anti-Christian organization, to use the institution for hosting an “After School Satan Club” back-to-school event.
The Satanic Temple event at Northern High School in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, is set to take place in September, Breitbart News reported citing Fox 43.
This isn’t the first time the far-left organization has tried to make inroads among the schoolchildren in Dillsburg, a borough of nearly 3,000 people.
In April, the school board killed an attempt by the Satanic Temple to host an “After School Satan Club” in a local elementary school.
Back then, parents and residents of the community were outraged by the prospect of TST holding after-school activities for the local schoolchildren.
“They already took God out of schools now they’re going to let Satan in, it’s just crazy,” Jennifer McAllister, a Perry County resident, declared back in April.
“There is a lot of evil already in this world, so to allow it to come into our school and our community is not OK,” commented another parent, Laura Vangeli.
Lucien Graves, the co-founder, spokesman, and best-known public face of the Satanic Temple, argued that its after-school event in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, should be seen as “similarly to religious freedom law.”
“We’re talking about upholding fundamental pillars of democracy and the First Amendment,” Graves argued.
The Satanic Temple’s account on Twitter has been trying to promote its “After School Satan Club” (ASSC) as an “alternative to the Good News Club or other religious clubs” in schools.
While officials from the Northern York County School District approved The Satanic Temple’s after-school event at the local high school, the district issued a statement declaring that it “does not endorse the activity of outside organizations that rent its facilities.”
Back in May, plans by the far-left group to organize an elementary school, “After School Satan Club,” in Greensboro, North Carolina, caused street protest rallies by parents and community members.
Since the US Supreme Court at the end of June killed the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling and made abortion a state-level issue, the Satanic Temple has been seeking to position itself as a “beacon of life” for abortionism.
“Satanic abortions are protected by religious liberty laws,” the far-left group’s website states.
The Satanic Temple has been recognized as a “church” and enjoys a tax-exempt status by the IRS.
