Homicides Jump Most in 60 Years

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) If you think the United States is becoming more deadly, you are correct.

The number of homicides took the most significant jump in 60 years.

Think about that sad reality. The most significant increase in the number of homicides in the last six decades just took place.

As the numbers are tabulated, it’s becoming clear that 2020 will go down as one of the worst years for murder in most Americans’ lifetimes.

According to one publication, “An FBI report due out Monday is expected to show an increase in the national homicide rate for 2020 of nearly 29% — more than double the previous highest single-year increase, the 12.7% rise in 1968.”

Further, with close to 21,500 homicides last year – 5,000 more than the year before – Americans are starting to understand why the men and women in blue feel they’re overworked and underappreciated.

One last tidbit. Numerous cities across the country have seen their total number of homicides double in just one year alone – from 2019 to 2020.

Something needs to be done.
