(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) recently announced he will create a “State DOGE Task Force,” which aims to slash bureaucratic bloat, eliminate hundreds of jobs, and purge woke agendas from higher education.

In a move that echoes President Trump’s efforts to drain the swamp, DeSantis signed an executive order creating the state DOGE (Deregulating Operational Government Efficiency) Task Force.
This initiative targets inefficiency and waste in Florida’s government operations, with a particular focus on rooting out leftist ideologies in state universities.
“We are creating a state DOGE task force that will implement a multi-prong approach to eliminating bureaucratic bloat and modernizing our state government to best serve the people of Florida in the years ahead,” DeSantis declared.
The task force, which will operate for one year until March 31, 2026, will use cutting-edge artificial intelligence to scrutinize government operations, payments, and contracts.
This technological approach ensures that every taxpayer dollar is spent efficiently and effectively rather than being wasted on bloated bureaucracies or leftist pet projects.
A key focus of the DOGE Task Force will be auditing and reviewing universities for operational and financial efficiency.
“This is the DOGE-ing of our state university system, and I think it’s gonna be good for taxpayers and it’s ultimately gonna be good for students as well,” DeSantis explained.
The governor’s plan includes removing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs from university courses, emphasizing a return to classical education principles.
Moreover, the initiative goes beyond just universities. The governor plans to eliminate hundreds of jobs and shut down around 70 state boards deemed obsolete or redundant.
While leftists and Democrats predictably cry foul, DeSantis remains steadfast in his mission to bring fiscal responsibility and conservative values back to Florida’s government and educational institutions.
The governor even plans to return nearly $1 billion in unneeded federal funds to help reduce the national debt, showcasing Florida’s financial strength under conservative leadership. He remarked:
“For too long, nobody has cared about the taxpayers, much less the next generation, who is ultimately going to have to pay for all of the mismanagement that we have seen over these many, many years.”
