(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Liberal comedian and talk show/podcast host Jon Stewart has expressed anger over how at least one of Hunter Biden’s foreign connections was “corrupt on its face,” while one of his guests, a British journalist, decried the revelations from the First Son’s laptop have been covered up.
UK journalist Gabriel Gatehouse, a former BBC News correspondent, appeared in a recent episode of the comedian’s podcast, “The Problem with Jon Stewart.”
They were discussing the so-called “laptop from hell,” Hunter Biden’s computer abandoned in a Delaware shop that has exposed the drug, alcohol, and sex addictions and murky foreign business dealings of President Joe Biden’s son.
The laptop revelations have been mostly ignored by the mainstream media or dismissed as “Russian misinformation.” Moreover, Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg recently revealed that when they emerged in October 2020, the FBI ordered the social media platform to censor them.
“[It] turned out that not only was it real, but the FBI had the bloody laptop all this time,” Gabriel Gatehouse said on Jon Stewart’s podcast.
“It took the establishment media in the US, The New York Times and the Washington Post, let’s say the kind of, you know, the big boys … it took them nearly two years to go through the laptop as you expect they would,” the British journalist added.
Stewart, in turn, focused not on the laptop itself but on Hunter Biden’s employment as a board member of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company where he was paid $80,000 per month in 2014 when Joe Biden was Barack Obama’s Vice President.
While technically Ukrainian, Burisma Holdings was owned by Mykola Zlochevksy, a local oligarch with ties to the regime of Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow, who presently lives in exile in Monaco.
“Let’s say it was real, and people just thought, Well, the one thing in it maybe is 10% to the big guy, which is circumstantial at best. But as far as, like, look, Hunter Biden being on the board of Burisma. To me, that’s corruption straight up off the bat,” Jon Stewart said.
He argued that Hunter Biden’s foreign business ties in Ukraine were more substantial than what had been exposed out of his laptop.
“It’s not even that I’m not surprised. It’s that it’s corrupt on its face,” Stewart told his guest.
“I don’t need a laptop with like a hint of circumstantial evidence. Now tying Joe Biden to it, yeah, that’s going to take some digging,” he added.
“And if it’s real, you know, that’s a thing. But the idea that nepotism would allow much larger amounts of money to flow into the hands of people unqualified to be in the positions they’ve been accepted because you think those countries are trying to buy influence,” Stewart speculated.
