Kamala Is ‘Trump-Proofing’ WHAT?!

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – In a blatant attempt to cripple a possible Donald Trump presidency, the Biden-Harris administration is using a lesser-known hiring strategy to fill key roles within the Department of Justice (DOJ) as the 2024 election approaches.

According to information provided by the Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT), hundreds of lawyers and judges have been appointed to significant DOJ divisions like Environmental and Natural Resources (ENRD) and Antitrust and Immigration Review through “Schedule A” hiring authority.

PPT asserted that these hiring practices are part of a broader effort to “Trump-proof” the federal government against potential policy reversals should Trump return to power.

As stated by the Office of Budget and Management, the hiring method does not base appointments on merit and does not limit the tenure of appointees to the current presidential term.

This means these appointees could remain in place even if Trump returns to office in 2025.

Typically, Schedule A is used to recruit individuals with various disabilities, but it also covers hiring for roles that require specialized knowledge or to address urgent staffing needs, such as chaplains, scientists and attorneys.

PPT director Michael Chamberlain commented in a press release, “The Biden-Harris administration and its allies have already signaled their intent to hamstring their successor and prevent a future president from reversing their agenda.”

“Exploiting non-competitive hiring authorities to fill career civil service positions could be just another component of this scheme. It’s no wonder that the public’s trust in its government has all but disappeared,” Chamberlain explained.

The DOJ notably used Schedule A to hire over 100 immigration judges who decide on the residency status of noncitizens in the U.S.

It was also used to staff the DOJ’s ENRD division with trial attorneys, who play a crucial role in enforcing environmental laws and advancing the administration’s energy and climate agendas.

Moreover, the administration beefed up its antitrust division with a significant number of trial attorneys.

This move aligns with Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan’s approach to enforcing antitrust against major corporations like Amazon and Meta.

In a related development, the Biden-Harris administration has proposed a federal rule making it tougher to dismiss career federal employees.

Additionally, the Environmental Protection Agency staff secured a new contract that protects them from dismissal as long as their work sticks to “scientific integrity.”
