Kari Lake: ‘I’m Still in This Fight’

Kari Lake

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Republican candidate for governor of Arizona, Kari Lake, has moved to contest the results in the state gubernatorial election, which show she lost by about 17,000 votes or 0.6 percentage points.

The election has been called in favor of Democrat Katie Hobbs, Arizona’s current Secretary of State, with 1,282,532 votes (50.3%) for her and 1,265,394 (49.7%) for the GOP bidder and ally of former President Donald Trump.

Speaking in a video shared by her account on Twitter, Lake made it clear she is putting together a legal team to dispute the official 2022 midterm vote results, as she vowed not to give up on the “fight.”

“I wanted to reach out to you to let you know that I am still in this fight with you,” the Republican gubernatorial candidate declared.

“For two years, I’ve been sounding the alarm about our broken election system here in Arizona. And this past week has confirmed everything we’ve been saying,” Lake stated, as cited by Newsmax.

She was referring to reports by right-wing news outlets about voter irregularities, particularly in Arizona’s most populous Maricopa County, amid widespread electoral fraud concerns among Republican supporters.

“On Election Day, nearly half of all polling locations had problems. … What happened to Arizonans on Election Day is unforgivable. Tens of thousands of Maricopa County voters were disenfranchised,” the Republican gubernatorial candidate said.

Lake also lambasted Katie Hobbs for not recusing herself as her position as Secretary of State created a conflict of interest since its responsibilities involve certifying the election results.

“We called for Katie Hobbs to recuse herself over a year ago. They ridiculed us. It turns out we were right. The fox was guarding the hen house, and because of that, voters have been disenfranchised when we raise concerns,” former President Donald Trump’s ally declared.

Lake promised Republican supporters her best efforts to rectify any election irregularities that may have occurred in Arizona’s midterms.

“Now I’m busy here collecting evidence and data. Rest assured, I have assembled the best and brightest legal team and we are exploring every avenue to correct the many wrongs that have been done this past week,” the former long-time Fox News TV host said.

“I’m doing everything in my power to right these wrongs. My resolve to fight for you is higher than ever. This fight to save our republic has just begun. I love you, Arizona. And I love you, America,” Lake concluded.
