Marjorie Taylor Greene Wants a ‘National Divorce’!?!

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA)

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Republican US Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia has called for a “national divorce” along political lines between red and blue states because of irreconcilable differences.

“We need a national divorce. We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government. Everyone I talk to says this,” Greene wrote in a tweet on President’s Day.

“From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s [sic] traitorous America Last policies, we are done,” she added.

The New York Post, which quoted her tweet, called it “shocking” and described the 48-year-old congresswoman as “far-right” and “controversial.” It also noted that she was presently getting divorced.

In subsequent tweets, Greene, a second-term US House member, clarified that by “national divorce,” she didn’t mean “civil war.”

However, she insisted that both Democrat President Joe Biden and the neoconservatives were leading America towards a “third world war.”

“People are absolutely fed up and disgusted with left wing insanity and disaster America Last policies. National divorce is not civil war, but Biden and the neocons are leading us into WW3, while forcing corporate ESG and gender confusion on our kids. Enough!” Greene wrote.

She later attacked President Joe Biden for his Monday surprise visit to Ukraine, which has been surviving a brutal invasion by Putin’s Russia thanks to America’s support and military aid.

“Impeach Biden or give us a national divorce. We don’t pay taxes to fund foreign country’s [sic] wars who aren’t even NATO ally’s [sic]. We aren’t sending our sons & daughters to dies [sic] for foreign borders & foreign ‘democracy.’ America is BROKE. Criminals & Cartels reign. And you’re a fool,” Greene declared in another tweet.

The report noted it remained unclear what would happen to Greene’s home state, Georgia, in case of a “national divorce” between blue and red states. Georgia went to Biden in 2020, and its US Senators are Democrats, but it has a GOP governor and a Republican-controlled legislature.

Greene’s call for a “national divorce” was slammed by Utah’s Republican Governor, Spencer Cox, who described her choice of words as “evil.” He also said the United States could use some “marriage counseling.”

“This rhetoric is destructive and wrong and — honestly — evil. We don’t need a divorce, we need marriage counseling. And we need elected leaders that don’t profit by tearing us apart. We can disagree without hate. Healthy conflict was critical to our nation’s founding and survival,” Cox declared on Twitter.

Other reactions were also critical of Greene, with National Review editor Rich Lowry writing,

“Great idea. So who gets control of the 1.3 million-strong US military and the stockpile of 3,800 nuclear warheads?”

“If you don’t like our system of government, feel free to move. If you don’t like policy outcomes, work to change them. But members of Congress swear an oath to the Constitution and have no business publicly calling for the dissolution of the Union that Constitution governs,” tweeted the conservative commentator account named AG Hamilton.
