Signaling a renewed commitment to American security, the Trump administration has appointed conservative stalwart Mark Levin and tough-on-crime experts to its revamped Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).
See the tweet below.
The new council will focus on border security, deportation of criminal illegal aliens, and stopping the deadly flow of drugs that have devastated American communities under the past administration.
In a Truth Social announcement, President Trump unveiled his selections for the council that will operate under Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem’s leadership.
The HSAC includes Fox News host Mark Levin, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, former NYPD detective Bo Dietl, and Florida Senator Joseph Gruters – all individuals with proven track records of defending American values and security.
“I am proud to announce the formation of my revamped Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC), which is comprised of Top Experts in their field, who are highly respected by their peers,” Trump said.
He added, “It is a big honor to serve on HSAC, and I know the new Members, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Mark Levin, Bo Dietl, and Joseph Gruters, will do an incredible job.”
This council replaces the previous advisory board that Trump dismantled to prevent resource misuse, which was necessary after the Biden administration attempted to create a “Disinformation Governance Board.”
Levin, who hosts “Life, Liberty & Levin” on Fox News and “The Mark Levin Show” on the radio, brings valuable experience from his time in the Reagan administration, where he held various governmental positions.
His latest book, “The Democrat Party Hates America,” published in September 2023, demonstrates his deep understanding of the threats posed by progressive policies.
The conservative commentator expressed gratitude for his appointment, stating simply: “What an honor! Thank you, Mr. President!”

Another key appointment is Bo Dietl, a former NYPD detective known for his no-nonsense approach to fighting crime. He brings decades of law enforcement experience.
His real-world experience will be invaluable as the council works to address the crime wave that has swept across America’s cities during the Biden years.
Moreover, this is not President Trump’s first time bringing respected media personalities into his administration.
Other former Fox personalities who have served include Pete Hegseth and Sean Duffy, both of whom provided fresh perspectives that challenged the entrenched Washington bureaucracy.
The revamped council stands in stark contrast to the Biden administration’s approach to homeland security, which has resulted in the worst border crisis in American history, with millions of illegal aliens entering into the country.
President Trump is demonstrating his commitment to reversing the damage done over the past four years by appointing individuals who prioritize American security over globalist interests.
With illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and crime consistently ranking among Americans’ top concerns, this council is well-positioned to develop the policies needed to restore law and order to our communities and security to the borders.
Ultimately, the HSAC’s focus on deporting criminal illegal aliens and stopping the flow of deadly drugs like fentanyl directly addresses the issues that have devastated American families under weak progressive leadership.
