Nikki Gets Bad News

( – Highlighting that her presidential campaign is going nowhere, Republican contender Nikki Hayley got bad news following her resounding loss in her home state.

Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action)’s founder and billionaire Charles Koch decided to pause the organization’s financial backing of Nikki’s campaign after she lost to former President Donald Trump in the South Carolina primaries.

While AFP Action still verbally supports Haley for president, it opted to limit its funding to words rather than financial contributions.

AFP Action CEO Emily Seidel wrote an email to staff indicating, “Given the challenges in the primary states ahead, we don’t believe any outside group can make a material difference to widen her path to victory.”

And so while we will continue to endorse her, we will focus our resources where we can make the difference,” she added.

AFP Action’s decision to close its financial backing is another disappointment for the former South Carolina governor, who has faced a series of setbacks since the beginning of the election year.

Alongside AFP Action, billionaire Reid Hoffman has also ceased funding Nikki’s presidential bid.

Despite these obstacles, Nikki has committed to pursuing her campaign with her team saying that AFP Action’s withdrawal of funding has not changed their strategy and they still have the resources to stay in the race.

Nikki’s campaign expressed gratitude and stated that the AFP Action is a fantastic association and supporter in the fight for a free country and conservative government.

Her team stated their fight will linger and that they are extremely grateful for the organization’s support in the race.

AFP Action will channel its resources to finance Republican campaigns at the congressional level.

The organization has also endorsed five Senate candidates and 19 House candidates so far.
