Now THIS is Happening On the Northern Border?

Meth Seized On Northern Border

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – US Border Patrol agents have seized a large shipment of methamphetamine in an abandoned vehicle in Washington state near the border with Canada.

Fox News reported that the narcotics shipment contained a total of 450 pounds of methamphetamine worth $1.7 million.

The drugs were discovered stacked in duffel bags in a Hummer H3. The vehicle was found deserted in the Blaine Sector of the Northern Southern, in Northwest Washington state, about 30 miles south of the Canadian city of Vancouver.

The report notes it remains unclear why the Border Patrol agents decided to target the abandoned Hummer.

However, they “foiled a cross border drug smuggling attempt,” in the words of David BeMiller, Blaine Sector Chief Patrol Agent.

“This seizure is an excellent example of their commitment to this honorable mission by taking nearly 450 pounds of methamphetamine off the streets,” BeMiller declared in a statement.

In the first ten months of the 2022 fiscal year, which ends on September 30, the US Border Patrol seized 148,000 pounds of methamphetamine, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data.

During that period – October 2021 through July 2022 – almost all of the meth, or 138,000 pounds, was seized at the Southern Border.

Another 10,000 pounds were captured on the coast or in the US interior, and only 566 pounds were caught at the Northern Border.

These figures indicate that the new bust of 450 pounds of meth found in Washington state has nearly doubled the amount of the narcotic caught at the US – Canadian border this fiscal year.

CBP data also shows that in the first ten months of the 2022 fiscal year, the US Border Patrol seized a total of 553,000 pounds of drugs.

Besides the nearly 150,000 pounds of meth, those also include 54,000 pounds of cocaine and 10,600 pounds of fentanyl.

Unlike the incoming drug trafficking, most of the human trafficking targeting the United States centers on the Southern Border but isn’t limited to it.

Of the 3.9 million illegal immigrants apprehended in the first 18 months in office of President Joe Biden, 3.4 million were caught at the Southern Border, and about 500,000 at the Northern Border, on the coast, or international airports.

Another 1 million illegal immigrants are also estimated to have entered the US, but as gotaways, thus bringing the total number for that period to nearly 5 million, as per CBP data.
