OUTRAGE: 9/11 Families Slam Biden

Ground Zero - 9/11

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – The families of first responders who died on September 11, 2001, expressed outrage at the Biden-Harris administration over a recent plea deal that will spare the lives of three men involved in the attacks.

The deal shuts down the possibility of imposing the death penalty for the accused, including the attack’s alleged architect, Khalid Shaikh Mohammad.

Retired NYPD officer Jim Smith, who lost his wife Moira Smith—the only female officer to die in the attacks—shared his dismay.

“I feel like I was kicked in the balls,” he said. “The prosecution and families have waited for 23 years to have our day in court to put on the record what these animals did to our loved ones.”

“They took that opportunity away from us,” he added while criticizing the U.S. government’s decision.

“They committed the worst crime in the history of our country. They should receive the highest penalty,” Smith stated.

Mohammad, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin ‘Attash and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi are accused of providing logistical support for the 9/11 attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people, including over 400 first responders.

The allegations included training and sponsoring the 19 terrorists who hijacked and crashed passenger airplanes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

The three have been detained at Guantánamo Bay since 2003 and are set to enter guilty pleas soon.

According to the Office of Military Commissions chief prosecutor Rear Adm. Aaron C. Rugh, the three men’s sentencing is scheduled for next summer.

Retired police officer Kathy Vigiano, who lost her husband NYPD Det. Joseph Vigiano, voiced her frustration about the situation.

She stated, “I’m angry and disappointed that enemy combatants who killed thousands of Americans in our homeland are now able to exploit the US judicial system to their benefit, receiving support from American taxpayers for shelter, food and healthcare for the rest of their lives.”

The FDNY, which suffered the most deaths among first responders during the attacks, continues to feel the impact with the death toll from 9/11-related illnesses rising.

Uniformed Firefighters Association president Andrew Ansbro, representing thousands of firefighters, shared a unified sentiment of feeling “betrayed and disgusted” by the developments.
