‘Ragin Cajun’ Undercuts Biden – Again!

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Revealing what other Democrats refuse to acknowledge in public, seasoned Democratic strategist James Carvill recently said he had reservations about Joe Biden’s decision to run for re-election.

Carvill is a Georgia native who was key to Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign victory and who is known as the “Ragin Cajun” due to his unapologetic political stances.

Speaking on 77 WABC radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” Carville revealed he preferred a younger candidate to lead the Democratic ticket.

“It isn’t the choice I was crazy about,” he admitted and reflected on Biden’s announcement that he would seek re-election.

He highlighted the Democratic Party’s roster of younger talent, which includes Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Maryland Governor Wes Moore and House Democratic Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

He praised these figures as fitting for current needs in comparison with the 81-year-old Biden.

“I think Hakeem Jeffries is doing a great job… as [House] leader,” Carville stated, acknowledging the potential within the party.

Although he has reservations about Biden’s candidacy, Carville said he remained committed to the Democratic nominee.

“I thought that President Biden should consider not running for the election, but that’s not the choice he made. And so, I’ve got to live in the world that I’ve got to live in, not the world I wanted to live in,” he explained.

Carville also said he was concerned about the impact of Biden’s and Trump’s age on young voters, as their disinterest might lead to broader disengagement from public policy and service.

“The lack of enthusiasm among young people for public policy and public service and being involved in the public square is quite disheartening,” he noted.

He added, “They feel like two 80-year-old guys don’t mean much to them. I am really afraid that we are going to lose the generation of young people. … That’s my greatest fear for the United States, that young people are disengaging.”

Despite his concerns, Carville affirmed his support for Biden in the upcoming election: “That’s the choice I got. I’m voting for Joe Biden,” he declared.
