(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – The majority of Americans weren’t even born the last time it was as dangerous as it is today to be a police officer in the United States of America.
As The Blaze reports:
“Intentional killings of police officers spiked by an alarming 59% in 2021 compared to the previous year, according to newly released FBI data.
“There were 73 law enforcement officers feloniously killed in the line of duty in 2021, according to preliminary year-end data from the FBI. The deaths marked the highest number of cops who were intentionally killed since 1995, when there were 74 police officers murdered. In 2001, there were 70 cops intentionally killed, plus another 72 law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the 9/11 terror attacks…
“The National Fraternal Order of Police – the oldest and largest police union in the United States – reported that 2021 was the deadliest year for American law enforcement officers in history.” [emphasis added]
Clearly, something is going wrong and getting worse in the United States of America by the day.
It’s as if the country is becoming less civilized and a far more dangerous place to live.
While police officers we spoke with expressed hope that 2022 will be a less dangerous year for their profession, there’s no reason to believe that will be the case unless something dramatic happens to change the violent direction of the country.
