(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s resolve for a better America just proved he is not afraid, as he just spoke at his first outdoor rally since an assassination attempt last month.
This event took place at an aviation museum in Asheboro, North Carolina.
Following the incident where the Secret Service’s alarming security lapse allowed a gunman to position himself on a nearby rooftop, security measures have been intensified, including bulletproof glass around the podium.
The assailant managed to graze Trump’s ear, injure bystanders and kill one rally attendee.
The Secret Service, which typically does not publicly discuss security details, had advised against outdoor events after the attack in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Despite this, Trump announced at a recent indoor rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, “we’re not giving up the outdoor rallies.”
Trump further assured his followers through a social media post that outdoor events would continue, highlighting the Secret Service’s enhanced security effort.
Recent reports indicated that Trump would be shielded by a special transparent glass barrier at the Asheboro event, similar to the protective features of the presidential limousine.
This rally coincided with the third day of the Democrat National Convention in Chicago, which is nominating Kamala Harris for the presidency after Joe Biden withdrew from the race.
Security at the convention has been notably tight, similar to the improved precautions at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, held shortly after Trump’s near-miss with the gunman.
The Asheboro rally, featuring Trump and his running mate J.D. Vance, was held at the North Carolina Aviation Museum & Hall of Fame, which had been prepared to host thousands.
Under instructions from the Trump-Vance campaign, the museum has communicated through Facebook that the rally would be conducted outdoors.
Often seen as a key swing state, North Carolina plays a crucial role in the upcoming November 5 election.
