(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Transgenderism’s march in Democrat-run states seemingly remains relentless, as evidenced by a new case in which a biological man claiming to be a woman was rehired as a coach despite outrage over him using the girls’ bathroom.
The Gettysburg Area School District in Pennsylvania just voted 6-2 to rehire the individual called Sasha Yates even though several weeks earlier, it was a 3-3 deadlock on the issue, PennLive, and The College Fix report.
Yates, a “trans woman” tennis coach, had been using the girl’s locker room and bathroom over the past year.
According to the report, the school board members offered “scant” information about the transgender coach’s contract when voting on rehiring him.
The report indicates that a year ago, Gettysburg High School Principal Jeremy Lusk sent Yates a memo telling him it was “imperative to maintain professional boundaries.”
The concerns in question feature the fact that Yates had been “talk[ing] to students about undergarment preferences and menstruation, and changing in and “walking through” the girls’ locker room.
According to The Epoch Times, the coach, previously called David Yates, had been employed at Gettysburg since 2018.
He transitioned to “Sasha” in 2022 and was fired in the spring of 2023. However, in July, he reapplied for his job.
In an incident in 2022, when Yates used the girls’ locker room, female team members reported that “it was clear from what they saw that Mr. Yates was still fully a man.”
“[T]his damn tennis coach just walked into the girls bathroom … Like, [expletive] You’re a [expletive] man,” a 16-year-old female athlete from the school’s softball team texted to her coach after another such incident in the spring of 2023.
After the girl’s father sounded the alarm over the matter, school officials told him that the transgender individual “would not be rehired for another season of coaching.” That resolved the issue until Yates reapplied and has now been rehired.
“Everybody in this area seems to be crying that it is hate… This has absolutely nothing to do with hate on my part. I don’t care what the guy wants to call himself. My job as a parent is to protect my child. And he had no business going into that bathroom, and his actions proved that he cannot be trusted,” the girl’s father reacted.
