Trump DENOUNCES Conservative’s Policy Initiative?!

( – Former President Donald Trump is distancing himself from a conservative policy initiative that has become a target in Democratic ads for the 2024 election.

Trump rejected Project 2025, a Heritage Foundation program aimed at shaping policy and personnel for his possible second term, in a post on Truth Social.

“I know nothing about Project 2025,” Trump stated. “I have no idea who is behind it.”

“I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them,” he added.

This follows a statement from Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts who earlier claimed that defeating the Left might require a revolutionary effort.

“We are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be,” Roberts mentioned during an appearance on Steve Bannon’s podcast.

Democrats have leveraged Project 2025’s proposals to portray Trump as a potential authoritarian leader in their ads.

Joe Biden’s campaign has particularly stressed that a reelected Trump would rule dictatorially.

Project 2025 has also attracted media scrutiny for its bold initiatives and the perception among Democrats that Trump is a significant threat to American democratic values.

“Donald Trump and Project 2025 are one big MAGA operation, coordinating on an extreme blueprint to rip away freedoms and undermine democracy — and they’ve made it clear themselves,” said DNC spokeswoman Aida Ross.

A spokesperson for Project 2025 countered, “Rather than obsessing over Project 2025, the Biden campaign should be addressing the 25th Amendment.”

Last year, the Heritage Foundation published a comprehensive policy guide for the next administration, put together by numerous conservative policy experts.

The guide suggests drastic actions like dismantling the Department of Education, overhauling the Justice Department, enforcing strict immigration laws, replacing longtime federal workers with pro-Trump staff and pushing through socially conservative laws.

Trump has often voiced concerns about the loyalty of his political appointees during his first term, which has led to the early groundwork of Project 2025 to better prepare for another possible presidency.
