(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Never one to pull his punches, Donald Trump hit one of his former employees hard, according to the New York Post.
Specifically, Trump took to Truth Social to express his intense disgust towards his former White House employee and current co-host of “The View,” Alyssa Farah Griffin, by calling her a “sleazebag,” “loser,” and a “backbencher.”
These comments came in response to Griffin, also a contributor for CNN, speaking up in defense of the network’s contentious town hall special with Trump. She suggested that the special lost him voters and revealed him as unfavorable to independent and moderate voters.
Griffin made her thoughts about her ex-boss clear, stating, “America got to see who he is last night: a ranting, raving lunatic who sided with Vladimir Putin.”
Trump was clearly provoked and infuriated by Griffin’s remarks and retaliated by posting an old video of Griffin lauding him during her time at the White House.
On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Backbencher in the Trump Administration, Alyssa Farah, like so many other sleazebags, had only glowing reviews of the Trump Administration until long after she left.” He continued, saying, “A loser then and a loser now!”
In another post, Trump kept up his assault on Griffin. He praised the CNN Town Hall and suggested that both CNN and “The View” were contemplating firing Griffin due to her criticisms of him.
Trump claimed, “Word is that they are revolting at the ‘View’ and CNN, and want Farrah OUT! Much more to come,” adding, “She tried to delete her words, but we got them ALL. I don’t see how she lasts because this ‘stuff’ shows what a phony she is.” He was referring to the video he shared earlier of Griffin commending him.
Trump also mentioned the heavy criticism the town hall received from CNN staff and liberal commentators. He pointed out that despite the controversy, the special attracted over 3 million viewers, making it one of CNN’s most-watched programs in recent years.
Trump further taunted CNN by saying, “One of their biggest ratings nights in years, & they are begging for mercy. CNN, let’s do another one?”
Earlier in the month, Griffin had discussed what she described as an “open secret” that Trump behaved inappropriately towards young female staff during her tenure at the White House.
Griffin stated on The Daily Beast’s podcast “The New Abnormal,” “It’s a pattern. It was visible. It didn’t take a genius to see it. It was reported, I don’t know if it was handled, but this is a man who does not respect women.” This was discussed in the context of Trump being held accountable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carrol.
