(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – In the latest bold move sure to shake up the political scene, Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has introduced a bill to add Donald Trump’s face to the iconic Mount Rushmore.

Luna argues that Trump’s presidency brought transformative changes deserving of commemoration alongside the nation’s greatest leaders.
This proposal underscores ongoing debates about Trump’s legacy and offers a unique twist in current political discourse.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna’s proposal intends to recognize what she calls Trump’s “remarkable accomplishments” by immortalizing his likeness in stone.
According to Luna, such an addition to Mount Rushmore is fitting given Trump’s impact on America.
The controversial idea has already drawn significant attention, highlighting the ongoing discourse surrounding Trump’s presidency.
The proposal has generated mixed reactions, even within the Republican Party.
Former Utah Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz supports the move, stating, “Hey, if there’s room up there, I think it’d be great.”
However, some Republicans remain skeptical of whether Trump’s achievements merit inclusion alongside Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln.
“His remarkable accomplishments for our country and the success he will continue to deliver deserve the highest recognition and honor on this iconic national monument,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna stated.
Some figures question the feasibility of altering such a historic monument.
The original sculptor, Gutzon Borglum, selected the presidents for their roles during pivotal moments in U.S. history.
Despite this, Luna and others believe honoring Trump in this fashion could bolster American pride.
Kaleigh McEnany, former White House Press Secretary, found the proposal particularly ironic, remarking, “I’m fascinated by this because that would be some sweet irony after President Joe Biden stopped the fireworks display from Mount Rushmore. So if you did like the 250th anniversary of the country at Mount Rushmore with President Trump’s face, it would be epic.”
Although the bill highlights the continued loyalty of some Republicans, it faces significant challenges.
Securing bipartisan support is unlikely, with Democrats opposed to such a radical change.
Other proposals suggesting Trump’s face adorn banknotes or buildings have similarly struggled to gain traction.
While Luna remains steadfast in her belief, stating, “Let’s get carving,” it remains uncertain whether the bill will advance in Congress.
This ongoing debate about Trump’s legacy serves as a testament to the polarized political landscape and the lasting impact of his presidency on American society.
