(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Just like he did when Joe Biden was the opposition in June, Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley predicts a standout performance by GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump in tonight’s debate with Kamala Harris.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for President Trump to lay out his vision for making America great again,” Whatley shared on “Newsline.”
He expects a large audience eager to see whether “Kamala Harris is going to double down on all of the failed policies that she’s championed over her career, or whether she’s going to flip-flop live on national TV.”
According to Whatley, Trump’s debate focus will be on his strategies to secure the southern border, boost the economy and strengthen America’s global stance.
Wheatley further criticized Harris, saying, “The most serious interaction that she had with Putin was when she told him to not invade Ukraine, which he then promptly turned around five days later and did.”
He argues that under the Biden-Harris leadership, America has weakened and impacted negatively its allies as well.
“Take a look at what’s happening in Israel right now. Look what’s happening in Ukraine right now,” Wheatley urged.
“The fact that China is saber-rattling across the South Pacific right now, none of that was taking place when President Trump was in office and America was in a much stronger place, and the world was in a much safer place,” he elaborated.
While this debate is the only one scheduled so far, Whatley expressed a desire for more debates.
“I think there is plenty that we need to see about Kamala Harris being on stage, standing up for 90 minutes without notes,” he remarked.
Wheatley believes Harris would prefer to have a “crib sheet,” but views the debate as a chance for her to reveal her true capabilities.
“She’s going to say whatever she needs to say in order to try and win this election. But I think the American people are a lot smarter than that,” he added.
Whatley firmly stated that Trump is the sole candidate capable of unifying the country and restoring its greatness.
