(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – There was a time when there was an unwritten rule that American politicians never compared anyone to Adolf Hitler, given the magnitude of the atrocities committed by Hitler and the Nazis.
That rule seems to have gone by the wayside in today’s rough-and-tumble brand of politics, as it is not uncommon to hear elected leaders and other politicians accuse others of being like Hitler.
The latest politician to accuse another politician of being like Hitler is Tulsi Gabbard, who recently accused Joe Biden of having a Hitler “mindset.”
As National Review tells the story in “Ex-Democrat Tulsi Gabbard Accuses Biden of Sharing Hitler’s ‘Mindset'”:
“Tulsi Gabbard, the former Democratic representative from Hawaii and 2020 presidential candidate, compared President Biden to Hitler while stumping in New Hampshire for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Don Bolduc.
“Speaking at a Bolduc rally outside of Manchester on Sunday, Gabbard accused Biden of relying on an ends-justify-the-means mindset to excuse his alleged persecution of Trump supporters.” [emphasis added]
According to the Daily Beast — which transcribed the words from a recording of Gabbard’s remarks as she spoke of Biden as being an authoritarian leader because of statements Biden has made about “MAGA Republicans” — Gabbard stated:
“And this is something that is, you know, throughout history, we look at authoritarian leaders and dictators in other countries. I’m pretty sure they all believe they’re doing what’s best. Even Hitler thought he was doing what was best for Germany, right? For the German race. In his own mind, he found a way to justify the means to meet his end. So when we have people with that mindset, well, you know we’ve got to do whatever it takes because, as President Biden said in that speech in Philadelphia, that those who supported Trump, those who didn’t vote for him are extremists and a threat to our democracy.” [emphasis added]
