(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Making what most conservatives see as outlandish claims about the GOP presidential candidate, former Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) announced that she will vote for Kamala Harris in the upcoming November election because she claims Donald Trump poses a danger to the country.

The New York Times reported that Cheney made her decision public during a speech at Duke University.
Known for her strong opposition to Trump, Cheney lost her 2022 reelection bid to a challenger backed by the former president.
According to a video posted on X, the former representative said:
“I think it is crucially important for people to recognize, not only is what I just said about the danger that Trump poses something that should prevent people from voting for him, but I don’t believe that we have the luxury of writing in candidates’ names, particularly in swing states.”
She emphasized her stance as a conservative who believes in and cares about the Constitution, saying that she thought deeply about her decision to endorse Harris instead of Trump because of the danger that he poses.
Harris’ campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon, said in a statement, “The Vice President is proud to have earned Congresswoman Cheney’s vote. She is a patriot who loves this country and puts our democracy and our Constitution first.”
Moreover, Cheney was removed from her leadership role within the House Republican Party in 2021 after she voted to impeach Trump.
She also faced censure from the Wyoming Republican Party.
Before endorsing Harris, Cheney was notably absent from the Republican National Convention (RNC), along with other prominent Republicans like George W. Bush, Mike Pence, Mitt Romney, and Paul Ryan.
In addition, Cheney had considered running for president as a third-party candidate and expressed her determination to do “whatever it takes” to stop Trump from returning to the White House.
