(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – During a United States Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing chaired by Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), he was shocked and angered by the response United States Interior Secretary Deb Haaland gave to one of his questions.
You can watch the video clip further down this post.
At one point during the hearing concerning the Biden administration’s oil and gas leasing policies, Manchin was asking Haaland about a memo concerning the administration’s canceling of oil drilling leases — something Manchin found astounding given the lack of oil and gas production currently in the United States that is causing record-high prices at the pump for American consumers.
Manchin said to Haaland, “It looks like you all are going to shut everything down.”
Haaland responded, “I am sorry. I am sitting in this hearing…”
Shocked at her response, Manchin stated, “My God.”
As you’ll see in the video below, Manchin was shocked that in the middle of his hearing, he was learning for the first time, based on a Biden administration memo that was handed to him during the hearing, that the Biden administration seemingly had no intent to authorize any new drilling.
Further, the Interior Secretary, who was sitting directly in front of him, acted as if she did not know what was happening within her own department.
Please watch the video below and share your reaction and opinion by emailing [email protected]. In your opinion, should the Biden administration be authorizing and expediting the drilling for more oil and gas in the United States? Why or why not?
