VIDEO: Skyscraper Crane Collapses; Multiple Casualties

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – HAPPENING NOW: A short while ago, a skyscraper crane in New York City caught fire and partially collapsed, striking another building and raining debris onto the streets below as people ran for their lives.

According to on-the-scene accounts, in New York City this morning, a crane working at an under-construction site suddenly caught fire, leading to its collapse into a nearby structure.

According to authorities, the disaster resulted in injuries for five individuals, including a firefighter.

The crane was in operation at a vacant building located at 570 10th Avenue, close to Hudson Yards and between West 41st and West 42nd Streets. The cabin area of the crane unexpectedly caught fire at approximately 7:30 a.m., as reported by the New York Police Department.

Following the fire, the upper part of the crane fell apart, hitting an adjacent structure across the street, and then plummeted down onto the roadway. The police and video evidence confirmed this sequence of events.

In the aftermath of the crane collapse, video footage showed pedestrians running away from the scene and cars passing by honking their horns in warning of the sudden disaster.

According to sources, the resulting debris from the collapse led to injuries for four civilians and one firefighter. At least three of these injured individuals required hospitalization.
