Video: State of Emergency?

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – National security experts are saying that it’s hard to understand how, on the one hand, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is proclaiming that he has ended the freedom protests in Canada that have been ongoing for the last 24 days and that blocked major bridges between the United States and Canada, and on the other hand Trudeau went before television camera today to announce that he will maintain the controversial “state of emergency” that he declared earlier as a means of giving himself powers to arrest and detain protesters.

According to Trudeau:

“The Emergencies Act is not something to undertake lightly, and it’s something that needs to be momentary, temporary, and proportional. That’s why every single day, I’m receiving briefings, and we are reflecting on how much longer the Emergencies Act needs to be in place. We don’t want to keep it in place a single day longer than necessary. But even though the blockades are lifted across border openings right now, even though things seem to be resolving very well in Ottawa, this state of emergency is not over. There continues to be real concerns about the coming days. But we will continue to evaluate every single day whether or not it is time and we are able to lift the state of emergency.”

In short, Trudeau is saying that even though the Freedom Truckers are no longer blocking travel and transport between the United States and Canada as part of the protest, he will hold onto the militaristic powers the Emergencies Act grants him.
