Walz Caught – AGAIN!

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – In yet another embarrassing finding about Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign, her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, has been caught misrepresenting his military rank on his Congressional Challenge Coin.

The coin erroneously claims he held the rank of a command sergeant major, although he actually retired as a master sergeant, The Daily Wire reports.

In Washington, some lawmakers have adopted the military custom of producing personalized challenge coins.

These coins typically reflect personal milestones and the characteristics of the legislator’s district.

The issue with Walz’s coin was first brought to public attention by the podcast Angry Cops and further verified by Bree A Dail, a reporter from Daily Wire, on the platform X.

Retired Sergeant Major Jason Jaskula, organizer of the KIA Memorial Roadmarch in honor of Staff Sergeant Christopher Dill who was killed on April 4, 2005, in Diyala, Iraq, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, shared his views on the coin with Angry Cops:

“I think it is unethical. He was a conditionally appointed sergeant major but never earned the rank and literally no one would understand that except for a few military members and/or sergeant majors. … It’s like a private and basic training that becomes the platoon leader, and he gets to wear sergeant’s stripes on his shoulders, but then he goes home and shows pictures of it and then people think that he’s a sergeant. … As an actual retired sergeant major it pisses me off and minimalizes what I actually did. Feel free to use the quote as well that I spoke to sergeant majors and they all call him — never mind,” Jaskula said.

Fork Union Military Academy described the significance of challenge coins.

“Challenge coins serve as a symbol of membership, belonging, and camaraderie, forging a strong bond among those who possess them. Additionally, they are used to acknowledge an individual’s achievements, dedication, or exemplary service, and serve as a tangible reminder of the appreciation and respect of their peers and superiors,” the academy explained.

Doug Julin, who was Walz’s superior in the Minnesota National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery, told CNN that Walz decided to retire secretly after finding out their unit was set to deploy to Iraq.

“Receiving a challenge coin is a great honor, as it signifies that the recipient has played a special role, making a significant impact on their peers and the organization as a whole,” Fork Union Military Academy elaborated on the role of challenge coins within the military.
