(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – The Democrat Party is facing widespread backlash, as a former leader in the Minnesota Army National Guard recently slammed Democrat vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz on social media for falsely claiming a military rank he did not earn.
Further attacks have come from John Kolb, who became lieutenant colonel after Walz ditched his battalion before deployment.
Kolb said it was an “affront” for Walz to keep using the title of command sergeant major, a position he did not achieve through the proper steps.
“He did not earn the rank or successfully complete any assignment as an E9,” Kolb revealed.
Kolb expressed on Facebook that Walz’s decision to leave the military early was actually a good thing, as it brought in better leadership with retired command sergeant major Thomas Behrends.
Behrends has been a vocal critic of Walz over the years, calling him out for taking credit for a rank he did not rightfully earn.
In an attempt to justify Walz, the Harris campaign has since stated that the vice-presidential nominee “misspoke” about his final rank.
Kolb acknowledged Walz’s service at lower ranks but criticized his claim to have served as a command sergeant major. “I can sit in the cockpit of an airplane, it does not make me a pilot.”
He praised Behrends as the right leader who stepped up when Walz retired before a potential deployment to Iraq, highlighting Behrends’s sacrifices and leadership qualities.
Behrends also spoke harshly of Walz, calling him a “liar and a fraud” and stating that Walz represents the opposite of the Army’s core values.
He has long criticized Walz’s decision to retire, using strong terms like “coward” and “traitor.”
Moreover, Walz faced scrutiny for a 2018 video where he discussed using weapons “in war,” despite retiring before any combat in Iraq or Afghanistan and serving in a support role in Italy.
Behrends pointed out that claiming a misstatement on such a serious issue indicates dishonesty.
Recently, the Harris campaign adjusted Walz’s online biography to correct his military title, noting that he served at the rank but did not retire as a command sergeant major due to incomplete coursework.
Despite criticisms, the campaign defended Walz’s long military service and his commitment to veterans and military families.
